DLSE management & DLSE lawyers should conduct themselves as if a camera was recording their decisions & actions affecting the taxpayers
Bill Maher was the host of ABC's Politically Incorrect until they cancelled his show for being politically incorrect. Among the reasons, advertisers like Sears and FedEx bailed, and Disney (who owns ABC) gotzta have their money. Now, he has a weekly show on HBO, and thank goodness HBO picked it up. Criticism is the highest form of democracy...think about it. What happens when a Chinese national criticizes China? What happened when an Iranian criticized the Shaw of Iran? To bring it back to this decade, what do you think happened when an Iraqi criticized Saddam Hussein? Democracy is a proponent of criticism because: 1) it stirs debate, and 2) people who care to say what's on their minds usually want to make things better for the whole, and 3) people have the freedom to say what they are thinking. DLSE management cannot take the necessary steps & make the necessary decisions to improve this agency so as to better serve those who need DLSE's help. They, the decision makers, deserve a proportionate level of criticism that's indicative of their duty of care to the public until they either eliminate the stupidity or fix the problem.Greg Rupp? His resume speaks for itself...an Assistant Chief do-nothing, carry-a-gun-collect-a-paycheck and run out the clock to his retirement. Robert Jones? He's a blunt instrument/tool for his bosses who also had to have the California Supreme Court tell him how to interpret meal & rest periods; he also fired the one attorney that made the correct interpretation of meal & rest periods. Is Robert Jones jealous of Miles Locker? More than likely. Emasculated? Perhaps. Smarter? Not at all, just politically-connected because Jones couldn't get a job in state service on his own. Lupe Almaraz? Just another tool/cheerleader for a multi-million dollar computer software system , and he can't say no to his bosses, those very same bosses that got him promoted. The last time I checked, this was neither China nor Iran...this is America, where we have this document called the US Constitution and the freedom to believe that if somebody is an incompetent *sshole, then we have the freedom to speak and write such beliefs.

You got to be kidding. Here at DIR, if you are incompetent and obedient, first you get promoted, and then you are put in charge of costly projects such as CMS. The end result is obvious to all of the hard working staff at DLSE who have to use the non-functioning CMS.
So where do you see the California constitution applied, and the management held accountable?

I JUST HAD THE MISFORTUNE OF TAKING THE ORAL REGIONAL MANAGER EXAM. I KNEW FROM THE BEGINNING THAT IT WAS A WASTE OF TIME BUT I THOUGHT I WOULD TEST IT OUT ONE MORE TIME. IN THE PAST, I COULD GUESS THE TOP THREE CANDIDATES THAT WOULD MAKE IT ON THE LIST. I COULD DO THIS BEFORE THE INTERVIEWS WERE EVEN HELD. THIS EXAM WAS ESPECIALLY INTERESTING SINCE MANAGEMENT OPTED TO EXTEND THE DEADLINE IN ORDER TO HAVE THEIR "CHOSEN ONE" APPLY.BEING THE IDEAL CANDIDATE FOR THIS JOB WITH A CLEAN BACKGROUND AND YEARS OF EXPERIENCE I DECIDED TO APPLY. SINCE I HAVE CONNECTIONS FROM ABOVE, I OBTAINED THE (7) EXAM QUESTIONS IN ADVANCE AND HAD THE ANSWERS PEGGED. AS SOON AS I WALKED INTO THE EXAM, I SAW THE "HIT MAN" FOR THE DEPARTMENT,"GREG RUPP". TO MAKE A LONG STORY SHORT, I DIDN'T EVEN MAKE IT ON THE LIST. RUPP COULD HAVE AT LEAST PRETENDED TO BE INTERESTED IN MY PERFECTED ANSWERS BUT HE APPEARD TO BE IN A STUPOR DURING THE WHOLE INTERVIEW.NANCY AND THE PERSONNEL INDIVIDUAL APPEARED TO BE INTERESTED AND EVEN ASKED QUESTIONS. IT'S TIME TO CLEAN HOUSE AND GET RID OF THESE ASSHOLES. THE FIRST TO GO WOULD BE THE WANNABE LABOR COMMISSIONER AND HIS "HIT MAN" RUPP. THANK GOD FOR THE BLOG SITE. RUPP HAS DECIDED TO DELETE ANYTHING FROM THIS REPORT THAT MIGHT MAKE YOU APPEAR TO BE A GOOD STATE EMPLOYEE. SO WATCH OUT! REMEMBER THE DISCIPLINARY MEETING HE HAD WITH YOU CONCERNING A BASELESS COMPLAINT FROM AN ANGRY COMPLAINANT. THERE WAS ANOTHER COMPLAINT AGAINST A DEPUTY IN THE SAME OFFICE CONCERNING A BATTERY IN THE PARKING LOT BUT NO FOLLOW-UP. Does anyone know who made the Regional Manager list or is it being kept a secret?
Did the person who wrote in all caps really claim to have the exam answers in advance? Who did they get them from?
YES, I HAD THE ANSWERS IN ADVANCE AND YES I KNEW WHO WAS ON THE PANEL. THE POINT I AM TRYING TO MAKE IS THAT IT REALLY DOES NOT MATTER IF YOU ACE THE TEST AND YOU'RE A GREAT EMPLOYEE, IT STILL COMES DOWN TO POLITICS. WHO GAVE ME THE SEVEN QUESTIONS PRIOR TO THE EXAM IS NOT RELEVANT JUST INDICATIVE OF HOW CORRUPT THE SYSTEM IS.
