A huge step in DLSE/DIRt intimidation is to violate their target's right to privacy: thanks to Greg Rupp, Lupe Almaraz, and Richard Munoz

Back when DIRt attorney Richard Munoz was in the Los Angeles DLSE office intimidating witnesses, they made no bones about who the blogger was. The DLSE issued memos that identified who the blogger was, and that the blogger was involved in litigation with the DLSE.
What they forgot to include in their memo was that the DLSE violated the United States Constitution, and the blogger only had the court to tell the the DLSE to "stop." Honestly, what court is going to say that the DLSE can command an employee to submit private diaries and confidential sources? If anyone looked seriously at the legal issues, it's not really about the blog; it's what they tried to demand. Why did they demand the diaries and confidential sources? Because DIRt wants to harass, intimidate, and retaliate against those who dared to speak freely.
Can you imagine if Regional Manager Susan Nakagama filed a sexual harassment lawsuit against Art Lujan, or Assistant Chief Greg Rupp filed a sexual harassment lawsuit against Dean Fryer, and then the DLSE commenced to issuing memos, informing & educating state employees of such litigation? Because it was the blogger, someone seemed to think that violating the blogger's privacy was/is perfectly acceptable. Yes, litigation is a matter of public record, and yes, the DLSE, as a state agency, had a duty to protect the state employee's privacy. Litigation does not absolve them from their duty to keep personnel matters confidential; furthermore, their actions forced me to litigate their violations.
This is the California agency charged with protecting employees from employer abuses, so if this is how they treat their own, then how much do you think they care about protecting outsiders?

It is pathetic that even the Deputy Director of DIRt is unable to practice free speech at DIRt and is using this blog to communicate, then when Dean gets back to DIRt he bends over for John Rea and John Duncan to ramm and proclaim the blog as hateful and unnecessary.

Dean Fryer it is a matter of ethics not to name anyone. Obviously DIRt has no ethics or credibility. The only tool in their box is to harass, discriminate, abuse ...

This blog has been good in respect to exposing incompetence, cronyism, and wasteful spending on computer systems. However, I don’t find it helpful to see those hateful, and personal postings.

Please keep it DIR work related. I want to keep reading this blog!

Now that we have vented our frustrations about management on this blog. Let's now start getting serious about contacting our Legislatures to get rid of them. Every letter, email and phone call will make a difference. Let's do it.

I work with the blogger and the DLSE receives great stats for the blogger's work. If the anonymous disparaging comments were true, then DLSE would not think twice about trying to hang the blogger; it's what the DLSE lives for-retaliation, especially agianst the blogger.

I personally know that the DLSE investigated the blogger after the blogger dismissed a wage claim because the claimant failed to appear. The blogger told the supervisor, and the supervisor was okay with the blogger dismissing the case. The guy then complains and the DLSE tries to, once again, throw the blogger under the bus.

The anonymous commenter lacks the courage to identify himself/herself, so please take cowardly & anonymous writings with a grain of salt. The comments from DIRt management are the last acts of a desperate and corrupt agency.

The last comment could very well be precisely correct, but we can't know. There is one sure way to stop the negative comments and keep things moving up; immediately post comments which would tend to embarrass the writer of the bad stuff. Not only will it offset the perception of any newcomer (such as an appeals court judge) but it will also inspire all of us to work harder to raise standards for all of us. That's what we want at the end of the day. It's easier to do hard work, and it feels rewarding, when you know it's doing something well and right.

If the above commenter is assuming the comment above his/hers is the blogger, or anyone closely associated with him, they are wrong. This thing is bigger than that. CL is at the helm of something which will continue to call him to serve honorably and courageously. If he does that it will work out well for him. If he does not he will just be another worn out State bureaucrat whose shelf life is expired. I am guessing he understands enough about this to not post anonymous comments. At least not any more now that this thing is reaching a new level. He's "out" and there is nothing "anonymous comments to self" will do other than undermine credibility.

In the next six months or so we will all understand more about where this is going and what the degree of the effect of it will likely be on DIR. Quite an interesting experiment, that's for sure.

An "aside" and if the shoe fits, please wear it:

Bureaucratic malaise is highly contagious and often the infection is carried by people completely unaware of the problem which they are giving life to and spreading around the system.

It's similar to incompetance, that is; those who are incompetant don't realize they are incompetent. That's what makes them so, so, so...INCOMPETENT! Duhhhh... Hey! You talkin' about me???!!!!!

Right...business is going to "chime in" at the risk of getting figured out and then targetted by DIR in retaliation. The only way anything is going to get better is if this blog becomes highly credible. Otherwise it's just an interesting place to catch a laugh once in awhile. Except, of course, for anyone suffering the wrath of DIR-gone-bad whether from the inside or the outside.

Girlie-man Dean Fryer don't think this is the DIRt website. This is the internet. Go back and post on your own website and stop fuching around here. I know you have a lot to hide for DIRt management - abuse, fraud, corruption, retaliation, harassment, discrimination of DIRt employees. Seems like DIRt management have placed you on a a full-time bend-over job out here to cover their ass.

Dean Fryer stick to your real estate and bending and lending your rear to DIRt management pimps and stop posting the emails like the one you posted above. I pity the public that has to depend on DIRt, they are without a doubt being short-changed. If you really want to post something cool post about your friend Vanessa Holton having office sex with Lloyd Aubry while DIRt employees work outside.

I heard (not sure if it is true) that the DIR Personnel had issues with some of the exams specifically for the IT classes. There were allegations of frauds, and an internal investigation proved these exams were conducted with favoritism and cronyism.

Dose anyone reading this blog know if these are indeed facts?

if accurate, What was the outcome, and did DIR take any corrective actions?

Dean Fryer we will make sure you are removed from DIRt along with the rest of the pimps at DIRt you are prostituting for. You are posting on behalf of DIRt management here to make this blog look bad will not help you or DIRt. It only proves that DIRt is desperate. This is the blog that DIRt tried to shut-- I'm sure the judge would love to hear that.

CL make sure you keep all of Dean Fryer's posts for the judge. He is inciting people on this blog. He is posting profanity and biggotry about himself and others. There is genuine concern that DIRt is abusing, retaliating, discriminating and harassing its employees. Keep up the good work. Keep posting everyone and ignore Dean Fryer's posts. CL please keep a copy of them and delete. If Dean Fryer needs to post he should post on the DIRt website.

Jim Culbeaux and his sister have robbed the State of California of Millions of dollars. They are thieves. They have hired contractors and taken favors from the contractors worth millions of dollars and then left the taxpayer to foot the bill. Want an example - Look no further than the DLSE CMS system.
