another DLSE investigation requested: will Lupe Almaraz & Robert Jones ever conduct a proper inquiry? Will they continue to use their own methods?

So yet again, another employee requests an investigation via communication to DLSE Deputy Chief Lupe Almaraz and "Acting" Labor Commissioner Robert Jones...they are only the two top-bananas at DLSE. Start the stopwatches, as Deputy Chief Lupe Almaraz and Acting Commissioner Robert Jones have been placed on official notice that a DLSE Hearing Officer is requesting investigative assistance. When will Lupe & Robert initiate this, how long will it take, and can their bureaucratic journey arrive at its proper conclusion before Arnold runs for President?
Since Lupe and Robert have taxpayer funds to waste by having Senior Special Investigator Lee Pearson ask DLSE staff about this Blogger's identity (when they've known about it since June, 2006), then I'm sure that they will waste no time in ignoring this employee's request. After all, Hearing Officer Jackson has only been a loyal civil servant for the last 30 years, why should they bother treating him with professional courtesy?

I CANNOT BELIEVE WHAT I HAVE JUST READ. DOES THE SANTA ANA OFFICE HAVE SO LITTLE WORK THAT THE SENIOR DEPUTY HAS TIME FOR SUCH CRAP. I THOUGHT WITCH HUNTS WERE OUTLAWED AND ABANDONED YEARS AGO. I FEEL SORRY FOR MR. JACKSON FOR HAVING TO DEAL WITH SUCH PETTY SHIT. GOOD LUCK! MAYBE ANOTHER CIVIL SUIT MIGHT FINALLY BRING ATTENTION TO WHAT IS HAPPENING IN THIS DEPARTMENT.

Dear Jorge, as the last comment stated, if you are involved in a witch hunt, you can save the state alot time and money. She is down the hallway!!!!! You're welcome!!

I am a fellow employee in the Santa Ana office and I felt really embarrassed for Jim Jackson when I received this E-mail from George Gomez and then found out that Jim had no knowledge of it. I'm writing this during my lunch hour since I feel something has to be done in the Santa Ana Office. Everyone in the Santa Ana office knows that Vicki Tamoush is a very mean spirited and is not only mean to the public and employers but to attorneys as well. Her hearing tapes will support this. For some unknown reason George has taken it upon himself to reprimand fellow employees based on Vicki's numerous allegations. These are as follows: an employee called her Grey Davis, transfer bulletins in her in box;diet ads in her box; single ads in her box, pictures missing from her wall, flat tires on her car due to timed explosives; an employee cutting her off on the freeway; Bruce Broadwater reported leaving two hours early when in fact he had conferences until his quitting time; an employee in another department was reprimanded by George for being rude to Vicki and now this. George is so busy taking care of Vicki's various complaints that he doesn't even have time to learn the new Entertainment Work Permit Program. When the trainer from Van Nuys was down for a week he didn't even bother to learn it. We cannot even go to him for help on this program although he expects us to know it. I can't even imagine what is going to happen on the 16th of this month when the new computer program fully goes into effect. Maybe George needs to take another (90) days off on stress leave.

I can't be quiet. I'm another Santa Ana employee and none of the employees can comprehend why George Gomez kowtows to Vicki Tamoush. She is so unpopular in the office that she has volunteered to go to the Van Nuys office, two weeks out of the month, instead of Maria Valdez. So far she has notified the Van Nuys senior as to what kind of hearings she wants scheduled, demanding a state car, per diem and a lap top computer. Maria used her own car, no per diem, no lap top computer and never outlined for the senior deputy in Van Nuys what kind of hearings she wants scheduled. It will be interesting to see how longs it takes for Vicki to complain about the Van Nuys office and how management handles it. I do believe the inmates have taken over the asylum.

I left the Division after 28 years of service with most of the years as a hearing officer.
I have known George since his initial appointment as a Senior Deputy.
George is not a dummy and I am sure that he would know that Jim knows what type of vehicle Ms. Tamoush drives. His memo was more than likely an attempt to show that Ms. Tamoush's complaint was not valid by showing a negative response to his inquiry. In so doing he can show that her complaint was investigated and found to be without merit.
With kindest regards to everyone,

Wow, what a web site. I had heard about it but this is the first visit. I guess it's getting pretty popular throughout the state. Anyway, I'm writing from the San Diego District Office (after hours)after hearing the rumors about Jim Jackson. All I have to say is that Jim is a great guy and a good hearing officer. He use to come down to the San Diego Office and we were always glad to see him. I bet if you compare his stats with Vicki Tamoush's stats, you will see that Jim is doing a better job. I know it is disheartening for employees when upper management protects a certain individual. It happened in the San Diego Office with David Dorome. He wrecked a state vehicle, had (2) DUI'S and his background investigation supported this. Still he was granted peace officer status and a promotion. I can give you the name of the investigating officer if you want. Anyway, it turns out that the Labor Commissioner, Jose Millan was best freinds with Dorame and was the godfather to his children. Another incidence of management favoring an employee was the Roger Miller/Susan the asian black widow affair. We all know what the favors involved with her promotion after promotion were, the only problem it came to an end and Roger was terminated at the behest of the black widow. I suggest to the employees in the Santa Ana office to dig around and you will find that Vicki is doing some type of favors for George (maybe the hearings he was assigned and never held). Just a thought, it's a good place to start. When you find out, it will all come together. Good luck and good night to my fellow employees in the Santa Ana Office.

Holy smolly Batman, turn your eyes the other way, George has been caught with him pants down. Instead of doing the hearings assigned to him by management (due to a case backlog), he had his hearing officer do them for him and then take credit. No wonder he is protecting Vicki. With stats rocketing in the Santa Ana office, he is going to need her once again. Gee, Maybe we should take George to the Bat cave for protection, but only under the condition he pulls his pants up.

Doesn't the administration have any concept that they are dealing with a full blown liar as well as a possible paranoid schizophrenic. Tamoush has had more clerks quit the Santa Ana office and go to other departments because they can not stand to work for her. The last two clerks, Imelda and Ivette, were not even speaking to Tamoush before they finally transfered to another department. I know upper management reads this blog on a daily basis so we of the Santa Ana office is asking for your help. Everything that is being said about Tamoush can be verified, it only takes a little effort and time. Please!!!!
