DLSE Chief Counsel Robert Allen Jones is their new, take charge swashbuckler! He wants to take in the reigns of one in-house investigation by personally asking the questions and by having a court reporter there to transcript it! If this isn't a wise use of DLSE expenditures, then I don't know what is. An anonymous source says that his questions for only one person will take almost three business days. There's a nickname for the Department of Industrial Relations; it's better known as the Dept. of Industrial Retaliation. From what I can observe, there are many managers who are bored and don't have the ability to make decisions that further the interest of the people of California. Instead, they spend their time managing people right out of the Department. It could be easy to ascertain their accomplishments; interview them as if they're applying for a job. Ask them what their greatest accomplishments have been in the last __ years, and watch the spin doctors do their magic!
