Did DLSE Deputy Chief Denise Padres leave her husband for Victor Jurado, the subordinate just promoted under her command? Plus SPB update

Well, I guess it's about time that equality really does hit the DLSE workforce. For so long, it was the men that slept with the women, who subsequently got promoted. Now that women are moving up that corporate ladder, they get to abandon their husbands for some subordinate action on the side (or for the main course).
I've been told from a very reliable source that (pretty much) everyone knows what's been going on with the incest/inbreeding within DLSE; is it that hard to find someone outside the workplace these days?
While we'll never get the absolute truth from either Denise Padres or Victor Jurado, we should probably start with Denise's husband-Frank Padres. Figure out the timeline when they started having problems up in Northern California and then compare that timeline to when Denise started hanging down in Southern California and when Victor Jurdao got promoted.
Are Denise and Victor (far enough) along in their relationship to be seen out in public, or are they still pretending that no one knows at the LA office? Do they have a place of their own because the last time I checked, Victor still lived with & cared for his mom, so he might have a problem making loud bedroom noises if it bothers dear ol' mom...the kind of noises Frank didn't make, I guess.
In other news, Anthony Mischel & Denise Padres offered me 5 months of paid leave if I would resign on January 6th. Needless to say, the trial is set for the last 2 weeks in July. It will be a combined termination/whistleblower hearing, so both matters will be heard in one setting.

After decades of eating the same ice cream, I thought she'd go for a taller flavor! Victor Jurado, aka BABY GAP, shops at Kids R Us for his pants.

He's so tiny, you just want to squeeze him like a little baby! How many phone books does he stand on to kiss her, or is he already at the right level?!

It is true.Victor is my new hero. He finally figured out that the only way to get out from under Nancy's wrath is to fuck the Chief. Now that that he is fucking the chief and received a promotion, the next person to get fucked will probably be Nancy. By the way, Victor was allowed to keep his office in Long Beach instead of having to move to LA. Maybe Denise likes the movement of the Queen Mary at night.Poor Frank, he was one of the better Seniors and a nice guy at the same time. Denise has become the new black widow in the division. Anyone who challenges her power becomes her target for retaliation.Poor Jorge Gomez, he still can't figure how Victor fucked him out of a promotion. I think Denise is going to give Susan Nakagama competition as to who is the biggest bitch in the department. Personally,if I knew she was such a slut maybe I would have plugged her in order to get a promotion. Oh well, here we go again. Maybe we need a exorcism of the department. Does anyone know any priest who would be willing to rid the department of all the demons?

Mangela B and Dumnice P demoralize entire division, mandate quotas for DLCs, Mangela "I never held a wage settlement conference" B doesn't have a clue. Seniors demote, people leave agency all because these two don't have a clue and have zero managerial skills. These two coouldn't motivate a flea to bite a dog. Here's what the legislature gets that they don't, LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST SB 796, Dunn. Employment." SECTION 1. The Legislature finds and declares all of the following: (c) Staffing levels for state labor law enforcement agencies have, in general, declined over the last decade and are likely to fail to keep up with the growth of the labor market in the future." Keep the quota crap coming, the Union can't wait to have you in grievance hearings for the rest of your career.

Jim Culbeaux and his sister Christine Baker are robbing the State of California of millions and the Governor wants to do furloughs to make up that deficit.

From the Volokh Conspiracy:

Why have commenting cultures developed so differently at different blogs? I don't really know the answer, and it would be interesting to figure out why commenting cultures develop in the ways that they do.
I suspect the explanation rests largely on the different moderation practices at different blogs. If a blogger doesn't moderate comment threads at all on a widely read blog, people who want to be shocking, mean, or just irrelevant realize they can do their thing and reach a decent-sized audience. They eventually push out the more thoughtful people: You end up with a mess, or, as Brian Leiter would put it, a "cess pool." In contrast, if bloggers moderate their threads reasonably well, deleting irrelevant or abusive comments — and in some cases, participating in the comment threads themselves to carry on the debate — then you end up with a shift in culture over time. Readers begin to expect that the comment threads will be reasonably good, or at least entertaining, and more thoughtful people consider commenting themselves.

Over time, comment moderation practices end up having a profound impact on who comments, and different approaches either attract thoughtful commenters or keep them away. I think this explains the largely unreadable comment threads at Balkinization, for example; My sense is that Balkinization threads were lightly edited if not unedited altogether, with the bloggers themselves generally not participating in comment threads.

Well put. The cut and paste Culbeaux obsessed person has ruined what used to be a decent blog. Come on CL, how about deleting all the Culbeaux stuff? And to the Culbeaux obssesed poster, we get it already, you're boring us to death with your repetitive post.

Letter to Angela Bradstreet, If you ask why a car with no wheels doesn't go anywhere and someone tells you it's because it has no wheels, that's not an excuse. it is a reason! You seem to think that every answer to your queries is an excuse. You need to take some management classes.

Doesn't Angela Bradstreet remind you of Buffalo Bill from silence of the lambs?

Actually, I don't really know what Angela reminds me of more... a bump on a log or the person sitting on it.

Blog boy reminds me of a one of those anti-American foreign agents...between their lies and their bribes is some jail time...I'm just not sure who's jail.

How can anyone call the blogger 'Anti-American"???Let's not forget, he served honorably in the USMC, CA Army National Guard and the US Border Patrol. How many of you whining pansies can make that claim?

The incestuousness of this agency is utter sickening.
