DLSE retention & attrition: even though the state is the employer, people are leaving their secure civil servant jobs in DLSE at record pace. In the last couple of years, we have had many people leave. Marivel, Naomi, Armida, Manuel, Carlos, Alphonso, John, Wilma, Barbara, Caroline, Ariel, Monica, Antonio, and others have left state service. Within the next couple of years, the baby boomers will start retiring and then DLSE will really be in a jam. All of that knowledge and all of that experience will be vaporized. DLSE management doesn't care because it's not their problem and they don't get paid to think that far into the future.
