Set a deadline for the installation of a security barrier. When the deadline passes it's "blue flu" time. Massive absences every day will totally piss off the public which in turn will put pressure on management to rectify this situation. The other option would be a total slow down in the processing of claims, conferences and hearings. Reschedules, continuances and delays will again totally piss off the public. You would think the safety of the state employees working in the Santa Ana office would take priority but it appears that Senior Meetings and Training sessions at $20,000-$30,000 a clip are at the top. I would suggest an alternative for management to consider since money is not a problem. How about martial arts training or fire arms training or how to negotiate your way out of being beat up or shot by irate or unstable members of the public. Management could at least provide people at the counter with mace and bullet proof vests or this too costly. Just a thought!!!!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
